Compositeworks have entered an agreement with the Atlantic Refit Center to operate in the 2 dry-docks in La Rochelle. The facility in La Rochelle comprises two dry-docks of 176 metres and 107 metres in length and is the only megayacht facility on the French Atlantic Coast.

In a bold statement of Compositeworks’ commitment and aspirations for the site, plans are already well underway to build a state-of-the-art 35m high hangar to completely cover the 176 metre dry-dock, with delivery scheduled in 2018.

For Ben Mennem, CEO of Compositeworks, “Our clients have been turning and returning to Compositeworks because we commit 100% to consistently deliver, both in terms of time and quality. We are very pleased today to be able to offer our clients more options for where they can receive a CW refit. With experience of managing projects outside of our historic La Ciotat base now firmly under our belt, we strongly believe we can bring our exceptional service and technical know-how to La Rochelle, who over the past ten years have already developed an excellent reputation for superyacht conversions and paintwork”.

Stéphane Marcelli, Director of the La Rochelle site, added “I am delighted to be part of the CW team and have already witnessed some exciting new synergies, particularly with local contractors. Our knowledge and experience of major conversion projects, such as the award winning refit on Enigma XK, fits well with the increasing demand for a more technical approach and state-of-the-art facilities. I have long believed in La Rochelle as a first class destination for both yachts and their crews and am thrilled that to be working with CW in order to fulfil this potential
